Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUCI) has entered into an agreement with the telecommunications vendor Spektr of the Rostec State Corporation on joint research activities in the field of 5G and next generations of cellular communications. MTUCI Rector Sergey Erokhin will join the Scientific and Technical Council of the company. New educational programs, which will be developed by MTUCI and Spektr, will be mastered by more than a hundred students within two years.
More than 70 MTUCI employees will be annually invited to Spectra's office for advanced training. Spektr specialists will be involved in conducting specialized seminars and lectures at the university.
MTUCI and Spektr are planning joint scientific research, practical conferences and seminars. For students in the company's office, practical training sessions will be organized with the possibility of subsequent employment. They will have access to a laboratory with the most modern telemetry equipment in Russia.
MTUCI constantly updates the curriculum and includes new disciplines aimed at studying modern communication systems. Already, university students are mastering such disciplines as "Technologies of fifth generation wireless communication systems", "Mobile communication systems and the Internet of things", "Protocols of 5G mobile communication systems".
