Scope of application

Coin-type manganese dioxide lithium battery (CR battery) is a small primary battery that uses manganese dioxide for the positive electrode and lithium for the negative electrode.

It is widely used for smart keyless entry systems, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) and other automotive-related equipment, IoT-related equipment, and storage backup power supplies.

Does not contain toxic substances

Murata CR2032 battery is a UL component certified product. EU Battery Directive RoHS Directive

The battery does not contain the three substances (mercury, cadmium, and lead) specified by the EU Battery Directive, and meets the standard.

This battery is excluded from the RoHS directive.

Principle and reaction

The active material of the positive electrode (positive electrode) adopts specially treated manganese dioxide (MnO2), and the active material of the negative electrode (negative electrode) adopts high-voltage, high-activity lithium metal.

In addition, the organic solvent in the electrolyte uses a substance that can dissolve the lithium salt, which makes it as easy as possible to generate high voltage and high energy.

The discharge response of the battery is

The discharge voltage is approximately 3V, the battery voltage is extremely stable and the impedance during discharge is low.
