Wireless charging industry chain


The wireless charging industry chain is divided into receiving and transmitting parts, and the upstream and downstream industry chain of receiving end is divided into chip, magnetic material, transmission coil, module manufacturing and system integration. The transmitter is divided into chip, coil module and scheme design.

The receiver chip and system integration design link have high technical barriers and high profits (about 30% of the profits of the wireless charging industry chain), and the main customers are mobile phone terminals. The development status is very similar to that of fingerprint identification three years ago. Only IDT has shipping experience, broadcom is the official customization for Apple, while other companies including TI and Qualcomm have failed to seize the opportunity of the first wave of the industry and have not yet become the supplier of any mobile phone manufacturers. On the contrary, a group of domestic start-up companies and listed companies mastering cutting-edge technology have made their layout in advance, and the mobile phone receiving end market is emerging at the beginning. The brand mobile phone equipped with domestic chip is already on the market. Gionee Mobile Phone M7 Plus selects the wireless charging scheme of domestic brand.

In the transmitter chip link, there are many manufacturers involved, and there are many different levels. Top wireless charger manufacturers, such as Mophie, Belkin and Zebao, generally pay more attention to frequency fixing, FOD foreign body detection function and quick charge performance, while brands such as NXP, IDT and a few domestic chip manufacturers that mainly focus on high-end market tend to be their first choices. Among the most cost-effective brands, it is difficult for foreign chips to occupy a place in China, one of the important reasons is because of the high cost price. That, in contrast, gives domestic chipmakers a chance to grab a market that is becoming increasingly competitive.

1.The technical content of the equipment is not high, the economic cost of the equipment is high, and the maintenance cost is expensive.

2.Due to the realization of long-distance high-power wireless magnetoelectric conversion, the equipment has high energy consumption. With the increase of the distance and power of wireless charging devices, the more useless work will be consumed.

3.the wireless charging technology equipment itself is to achieve secondary energy conversion, that is, the network voltage step-down (or direct) into direct current after a high frequency switch control ac conversion output. The high power AC-DC current conversion is the reason for the secondary wireless transmission of electric energy, so the space magnetic loss rate of electromagnetic is too large.
