According to Chelninskiye Izvestia, the KamAZ press-and-frame plant in Naberezhnye Chelny successfully tested the Eidos robot from the Kazan manufacturer Eidos Robotics. A mechanical assistant - an A12 robotic arm with welding equipment, a positioner for installing equipment and a specially written program - was brought to the enterprise last year.

The workplace of Eidos is located in the chassis workshop, it is an equipped turntable, on one side of which work is carried out on electric arc welding with wire feed in a semi-automatic mode, on the other, an employee of the plant fixes the necessary workpiece. The places were separated by a special protective screen, providing for other security measures - a special mat (stand on it, the worker will not get hurt, because the table will not turn) and photoprotection (makes sure that no one crosses the perimeter of the working area, and if necessary blocks the entire system). A mechanical assistant does a monthly work rate in one to two weeks.

Cargo drones

A month ago, iot.ru reported that by the end of the year, KamAZ would test prototypes of self-driving cars. During the tests, cargo drones will run along the M-11 Neva highway.
