LNA ideal for SMT-based, high capacity microwave radio applications

Analog Devices HMC8412 Low Noise Amplifiers are a GaAs, MMIC, pHEMT, low noise wideband amplifier. The amplifier functions from 0.4GHz to 11GHz and offers a typical gain of 15.5dB, a 1.4dB (typ.) noise figure, and a typical output third-order intercept (OIP3) of ≤33dBm, needing only 60mA from a 5V drain supply voltage. The saturated output power (PSAT) of ≤20.5dBm (typ.) enables the LNA to function as a local oscillator driver for many of the company's balanced, in phase, and quadrature (I/Q) or image rejection mixers.

 

The LNA feature inputs and outputs that are internally matched to 50Ohm. This makes the device excellent for SMT-based, high capacity microwave radio applications.

Analog

The device is provided in a RoHS-compliant, 2mm x 2mm, six-lead LFCSP.

 

Typical applications include test instrumentation. telecommunications, defence radar and communication, electronic defence, and aerospace fields.
