They usually include resistors, capacitors, inductors, potentiometers, relays, connectors, various sensitive components, resonators, filters, switches, etc. In most cases, electronic components are often specifically referred to as resistors, capacitors, and inductors. Electronic devices refer to products whose molecular structure is changed during production and processing in factories, which usually include diodes, triodes, and integrated circuits.

The role of electronic components

We all know that electronic products need programs to run, so what does the program rely on to run, no matter the big rockets, airplanes, car electronics, small mobile phones, sports bracelets and other products, there is no need to use electronic circuit boards, the initial stage of product design The most important part is also the electronic circuit board, and the important parts of the program software to ensure that the electronic circuit board can run normally are the large and small components. The characteristics of electronic components

Surface-mounted electronic components, also known as chip electronic components, have their main characteristics in the following aspects.

(1) Small size, light weight, saving raw materials.

Chip electronic components are small in size, generally in the order of 0.5mm to tens of millimeters in size, with a thickness of 0.2 to 2mm, and most of them have no lead wire or short lead wire structure. Therefore, the weight is reduced, the raw materials are saved, the cost is reduced, and the high-density assembly is facilitated, thereby promoting the miniaturization, thinning and light weight of the whole electronic machine.

(2) Conducive to improving the reliability of electronic equipment.

Chip-type electronic components have no lead wires or short lead wires, small size, light weight, and thinner thickness, especially the leadless structure, which makes it more able to withstand vibration and shock, and is easier to produce when the circuit is working The heat is dissipated, and the chip electronic components have been designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of high-temperature soldering conditions and cleaning conditions in the surface assembly technology. The materials of the chip electronic components and the appropriate packaging methods themselves High temperature resistant, not afraid of welding, and moisture resistant. In addition, the surface assembly technology does not need to use the plug-in assembly technology like the traditional lead-out electronic components, and the plug-in lead through hole is recognized as one of the main failure factors of the circuit. The surface mount circuit using chip electronic components fundamentally eliminates the root cause of this failure, thereby improving the reliability of electronic equipment.

(3) Excellent electrical performance.

The lead-free or short lead-out structure of chip electronic components reduces the parasitic inductance and capacitance caused by the lead-out lines, reduces the equivalent series resistance brought by the lead-out lines, and increases the maximum value of the electronic components themselves. Cut-off frequency. It not only helps to improve the frequency characteristics and response speed of the entire circuit, but also hardly needs adjustment after assembly, which is beneficial to the assembly of high-frequency circuits.

(4) The size and shape are standardized, and the overall cost is low.

The overall dimensions of most chip-type electronic components have been standardized and can be assembled using an automatic mounting machine, with high work efficiency, good welding quality, and mass assembly. Although the price of a certain type of chip electronic components is still higher than that of traditional electronic components, the price of chip electronic components themselves has the potential advantage of being cheaper than traditional electronic components.

The reason that the price of some chip electronic components is higher than that of ordinary electronic components is that on the one hand, the production technology is not yet mature, and on the other hand, the performance and manufacturing process requirements of chip electronic components are more stringent. . Nevertheless, considering the comprehensive cost of using chip electronic components, it is still lower than the cost of using traditional electronic components using traditional assembly technology, and the cost performance is extremely high.
